Over 250 guests attended the launch of ART CROSSES BORDERS: CONVERSATIONS in Alexandra on Sunday 6 September.
Art Smart Founder and curator, Vika Mjoka, was joined by exhibiting artists including Cassius Khumalo and Sicelo Khumalo.
Legend Nat Mokgosi was also there to be celebrated. Both Ivor Ichikowitz and Vika Mjoka inspired audiences to support Alex as an ART SMART Destination.
Poets and dancers performed their 103 stanza MY WORD COUNTS poetry performance to celebrate Alex as a welcoming home to immigrants for 103 years.
Due to popular demand from the public, The Ichikowitz Family Foundation have planned another shuttle bus service from FNB Art Fair on Saturday 12th, to the Alexandra ICT Centre – shuttle will run between 13:30 to 15:30 pm. Registration at VANDA Desk, Sandton Convention Center.
