Educational packages and books, broadcast documentaries, interviews, art collections, archive web portals, public seminars, are examples of the resources we create to engage with African history from the past, the present and the future.

The AFRICAN ORAL HISTORY ARCHIVE (AOHA) sees film more than just a one-way transmission. Our mission is to market conversations. Creative tools that welcome stimulating debate around major contemporary political developments. Our productions are broadcast nationally, internationally, and by digital network.

OUR BROADCAST HISTORY

Over the course of the past few years, over 170 interviews have been recorded, including former heads of state and government, foreign ministers and other key figures who have spoken freely of the difficult decisions they were called upon to make, the criteria by which their decisions were taken, and their personal fears and hopes for the liberation of South(ern) Africa.
